Kino’s Exploration of The Colorado River and Delta

Happy 23rd Birthday to the Pinacate Biosphere Reserve located between Puerto Peñasco and the Colorado River Delta. Kino was the first European to travel extensively throughout this beautiful and desolate region in his quest to prove that California was part of the North American mainland and not an island as was then commonly believed by world geographers.
